Eligible persons who have a local Hong Kong dollar savings or current account in their sole name may register through banks and receive payment through the specified bank account. Joint bank accounts will not be accepted for receiving payment under “Scheme $6,000”.
Registrants confirmed to have met the eligibility criteria will
normally receive payment directly through the specified bank account in around 10 weeks after registration. Registrants who wish to make enquiry about their registrations after submission may call their banks specified for receiving payment.
Unsuccessful registrants will receive written notification. Registrants who have not received the payment or the written notification 10 weeks after registration may call their banks specified for receiving payment.

Registration forms may be downloaded from this website and the websites of 21 retail banks, or obtained from the following locations –
Filling in registration forms
Eligible persons only need to fill in the following five items on the registration form –
(a) name;
(b) HKPIC number;
(c) local contact telephone number;
(d) name of the bank specified for receiving payment; and
(e) number of the bank account for receiving payment,
and sign the form after reading the part on “Declaration and Undertaking of Registrant” printed on the form. Please make reference to the sample below.
Submitting registration forms
There is no need for eligible persons to submit the registration forms in person at bank counters. Completed registration forms may be submitted in the following ways –

through drop-boxes placed at any local branch (except for those located in the MTR stations) of the bank specified for receiving payment;

mail the forms to G.P.O. Box No. 186000, Hong Kong General Post Office (please indicate the name of the bank specified for receiving payment on the envelope for easy processing); or
|

| (c) |
if the registrant chooses to receive payment through bank accounts of the following 14 banks and is a registered e-banking user of the bank concerned, submit the forms via e-banking.
